Casablanca Fan Company Unveils Largest Product Launch in a Decade

Ceiling Fan Manufacturer Introduces Eight New Fan Families and 38 New SKUs at Dallas Market Show.

Casablanca Fan Company, part of the Hunter Fan Company, the Memphis-based inventor of the original ceiling fan in 1886, will showcase eight new artfully-designed fan families at the 2014 Dallas Market Center Show, January 15–19. The new fan families will include more than 20 associated SKUs. In addition, the company will re-launch three existing fan families and add another 18 SKUs to its robust portfolio of designer ceiling fans. This new product showcase will be Casablanca’s largest introduction of new products in more than a decade.

The newly introduced 2014 products were created and tested in Casablanca’s state-of-the-art design and innovation laboratories, and showcase Casablanca’s innovation leadership. Now, Casablanca is leading the industry with more than 50 percent of the product line ENERGY STAR rated. For example, the Stealth product family is being reintroduced with two new finishes and five new versions that achieve the ENERGY STAR rating and incorporate LED technology. Originally introduced in 1991, the product family has sustained consumer demand far beyond the typical fan lifecycle of five years. Its forward-thinking contemporary design showcases the simple elegant and modern consumer taste preferences.

The control technology is part of Casablanca’s focus on delivering products customized to consumers’ preferences, design style and décor theme. Custom Casablanca, a suite of interchangeable fan components introduced in June 2013, enables consumers to create the fan of their dreams to their unique specifications.

Heathridge was uniquely inspired by lead designer Christophe Badarello’s passion for furniture design and the aged wood trend seen in many current interior designs. Casablanca Fan Company recently partnered with Designing Spaces ™ on Lifetime Television to help transform the home of a young military family in South Carolina. The “Designing Spaces of Hope Military Makeover – A Home for the Holidays” will air on November 28 th .  The second show in the three-part series will feature fans provided and installed by Casablanca.

The Military Makeover series will take viewers on a three-part journey through the home and life of a Purple Heart hero and his family. Throughout the series, Designing Spaces worked with Casablanca to enhance the family’s home with artfully crafted fans that match the design integrity of each unique space. Casablanca worked with Designing Spaces to help transform the overall look of the house with inspiring showpiece fans and to educate viewers on the benefits of ceiling fans.

  • Orchid – A 30” fan ideal for small rooms, the Orchid’s expansive blades mimic the asymmetrical shape and flow of beautiful blooming orchid petals. The fan is available in two blade colors, Walnut and Architectural White, and is damp-rated for use in covered outdoor spaces, such as porches and patios.
  • Stingray – With no visible screws or fasteners, the 60” Stingray appears almost weightless due to the flowing nature of its aesthetics. The fan has a DC motor and comes in two colors: Granite and Porcelain White.
  • Perseus – Named after the constellation, the 64” Perseus was inspired by 21st-century spacecraft design. Available in either Metallic SunSand or Brushed Nickel housing finishes, the fan is damp-rated for use in covered outdoor spaces, such as sunrooms, porches and patios.
  • Glen Arbor – The 56” Glen Arbor was inspired by Japanese woodwork, as evidenced by the repeated louvers around the light kit. Its metallic finishes, available in either Metallic Birch or Metallic Chocolate, are seamlessly weaved with the wood detailing to create a look that is both glamorous and natural.
  • Piston – The clean lines and slick finishes of the 52” Piston combine with the mid-century blade design to provide a look that is undoubtedly modern and truly Casablanca. Inspired by the American Industrial Revolution, the fan is available two finishes: Matte Black housing and blades, and in Brushed Slate housing with Coffee Beech blades.
  • Correne – Inspired by Scandinavian interior design, specifically the mid-century use of bent plywood, the lithe, ribbon-like blades are the standout feature of the 56” Correne. Available in a Brushed Nickel housing with either Champagne or Coffee Beech blades, the fan is a minimalist masterpiece.
  • Wisp – A contemporary design with a nod to retro flare, the Wisp is a balance of finesse and joviality. Available in two sizes, 44” and 52”, and two finishes, Pewter and Fresh White with Petwer blades, the Wisp will inspire joy and comfort throughout the home.
  • Duluth – Available in both 60” and 72” sizes, and in Fresh White or Galvanized Steel finishes, the Duluth is the ultimate industrial-inspired ceiling fan.
